In the beginning...

ColsBrew was founded by Colin Phillips in January 2016 in Dubai. It was out of passion and curiosity that suddenly gave focus and motivation to create a truly high quality tasting ready-to-drink Cold Brew coffee from locally roasted Specialty Coffee beans, hence the name “Cols Brew”.

With very little knowledge in coffee at the time, but with a simple understanding of what tastes good, it was a simple invitation to a Specialty Coffee cupping session that switched on the light bulb to a better tasting coffee World. With 10 different coffees collected together from around the coffee belt region all ready to be slurped and spat out, one of the coffees transpired to be a “Commercial Grade” coffee. It was upon attempting to taste this coffee that the rabbit hole of the Specialty Coffee World opened up. Needless to say, the commercial grade coffee that we (the general public) are lead and perceive to be quality, tasty and good…was and is not.

After 24hrs a day, 7 days a week for 8 months within research and development, working with local coffee roasters, baristas, cafes, cupping taste specialists and completing a coffee chemistry certification and becoming a member of the Specialty Coffee Association (ACS) ColsBrew was in the last stages of finalising their beverage products.

On November 5th 2016, ColsBrew LLC was launched in Dubai.

ColsBrew Catering Services LLC has now gone from a home grown kitchen hobby to a fully functional HACCP approved purpose built cold brewing coffee facility - the first of its kind in the Middle East.
